The Importance of Environmental Education in Early Childhood Education
This study addressed the importance of environmental education in early childhood education, emphasizing its relevance to the integral development of children and to the construction of sustainable awareness from the first years of life. The main objective was to analyze how the inclusion of environmental education in early childhood education contributed to children’s cognitive, affective, and social development, while also promoting attitudes of care, respect, and responsibility toward the environment.

O presente trabalho teve como tema central a importância da educação ambiental na educação infantil, abordando sua relevância para a formação integral das crianças e para a construção de uma consciência sustentável desde os primeiros anos de vida. O estudo teve como objetivo geral analisar como a inserção da educação ambiental na educação infantil contribuiu para o desenvolvimento cognitivo, afetivo e social das crianças, além de promover atitudes de cuidado, respeito e responsabilidade com o meio ambiente.
